Chahid Hafiz (Saharawi refugee camps), June 26, 2013 (SPS) - The Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic government has condemned the involvement of the occupied territories of Western Sahara in the process of deployment and export of drugs by the Moroccan occupation State, in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Ministry of the Interior on the occasion of world’s counter-drugs day

The Sahrawi government expressed its "severe condemnation and denunciation" of the Moroccan state's dangerous role as the world largest producer and exporter of cannabis, and its effective contribution to the promotion of this drug and opening the way to it through the creation and promotion of drug cartels and organized crime and terrorist groups.

the statement pointed out that “the Moroccan state today practices double-dimensional dangerous policies that violates the Charter and the resolutions of the United Nations, through the invasion and occupation and expansion at the expense of neighbors, at the same time produces and export drugs that destroy human life and encourages manifestations of violence, crime and terrorism and create the causes of tension and instability in the region”.

SADR government the called on The international community to take responsibility and enforce all pressures and sanctions on the Moroccan state to stop the flow of these deadly toxins and associated crime and terrorism, and even comply with the requirements of legitimacy to end its illegal military occupation of Western Sahara and to enable its people to exercise their inalienable right to self-determination and independence through a democratic fair solution represented in a free, impartial and fair referendum.

On this occasion, the Sahrawi government hailed the intensive international efforts to get rid of this scourge of serious threats to humanity, and renewed emphasis on its commitment to fighting it relentlessly, in application of its obligations within the framework of the African Union and in line with international conventions and treaties related.
