New York, Sept 28, 2013 (SPS) - The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Algeria Mr. Ramtane Lamamra held Friday in New York, on the sidelines of the General Assembly session, discussions with Mr. Christopher Ross, Personal Envoy of the UN Secretary General for Western Sahara.
Mr. Ross took this occasion to congratulate Mr. Lamamra for his appointment at the head of Algerian diplomacy.
He also briefed him about his activities ahead of the upcoming visit to the region.
Last April, the UN Envoy Ross made a visit to the region, led him to Morocco, Western Sahara occupied territories and Saharawi refugee camps. (SPS)
