Algiers, Oct 6, 2013 (SPS) - A delegation of the Algerian National Committee of Solidarity with the Saharawi People (CNASPS) will take part at the 4th Committee of the United Nations in New York, to be convened from 7 to 13 October, 2013.
“Members of the delegation will, in this meeting, call for the right of the Saharawi people to self-determination and independence, and the respect for human rights in the occupied Western Sahara,” announced CNASPS, in a statement on Sunday.
The Algerian delegation will, in the same regard, send an appeal to citizens of the world to mobilize in favour of the struggle of the Saharawi people until they can decide freely their final decision through free, fair and democratic referendum, away from any spressure in accordance with the UN charter and doctrine on decolonization matters, the statement added.
CNASPS delegation will meet the American civil society actors in solidarity with the Saharawi Republic and the representatives of Kennedy Foundation.
It will, therefore, install a citizens coordination of the Algerian community in New York in solidarity with the Saharawi Republic (SADR), concluded the statement. (SPS)
