Algiers, November 4, 2013 (SPS) - Morocco’s schemes against Algeria show "uncontrolled nervousness to create a diversion" about an "essential" issue, namely decolonization in Western Sahara, said Mohamed Sidati, the Saharawi delegate minister for Europe.
Sidati added that Morocco led an anachronistic and hackneyed diplomacy by seeking, at all costs, to involve Algeria in Western Sahara conflict. "The conflict is between two parties, namely the Polisario Front, as the legitimate representative of the Saharawi people, and Morocco."
"Algeria is an observer country with respect to the conflict, and seeking to involve it at all costs, is trying to make a diversion," the Saharawi diplomat said.
Morocco wants "to divert national community’s attention from Morocco’s suppression and oppression against the people of Western Sahara." (SPS)
