Boujdour (refugee camps), Nov 5, 2013 (SPS) - The U.S. Professor of Fine Arts at New York University and President of the Popular Committee of Solidarity with the Saharawi People, Gobin, indicated Tuesday from the Saharawi refugee camps that art is a mean to defend human rights.
In a lecture presented on the sidelines of the VII International Encounters of Art and Human Rights in Western Sahara, the U.S Professor said that the message of art is “more eloquent” than political discourse.
Responding to a question by SPS regarding the role of the U.S. Committee of support to the Saharawi people, Mr. Gobin explained that such committee aims to expand the scope of awareness about the Saharawi cause inside the United States. (SPS)
