Shaheed Hafed (Refugee Camps), March 1, 2014 (SPS) - A delegation of the Republic of Uruguay continued Saturday a solidarity visit to the Sahrawi refugee camps marked by meetings with Sahrawi officials and visiting some facilities, according to the agenda of the visit.
The delegation of the Republic of Uruguay included Mr. Gustavo Pacheco, Director General for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Pablo Alvarez, Director General of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Mr. Romero Jorge Rodriguez, Ambassador at Large in charge of Africa and sub-Sahara and director of ethnic unity at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs .
The delegation is accompanied by Mr. Emiliano Gomez Lopez, President of the Association of Friends of the Saharawi people in Uruguay.
The delegation met with the Minister of Cooperation, Mr. Brahim Mokhtar, National Union of Sahrawi Women and the Association of Families of Sahrawi Prisoners and Disappeared, it will meet Sunday with the Secretary General of Sahrawi Workers Union, Mr. Mohamed SheikhLehbib, during a visit in the Wilaya of Boujdour and will conclude its visit by a tour of the National hospital facilities and the Ministry of Public Health.
The delegation held Friday a meeting with Prime Minister Mr. Abdelkader Taleb Omar. (SPS)
