Saharawi parliament approves government’s programme

June 9th School (refugee camps), April 2, 2014 (SPS) - The Saharawi National Council (parliament) approved Tuesday the governemnt’s programme for the year 2014, in the presence of Prmie Minister Mr. Abdelkader Taleb Omar and members of the government.


In his speech on the occasion, Speaker of the Saharawi Parliament Mr. Khatri Addouh hailed the role played by the parliamentarians in energizing the work, praising, in the same regard, government’s interaction with all questions and concerns expressed by members of the Council during the discussion that lasted for more than two weeks.


Prime Minister, for his part, voiced his government’s "satisfaction" for the atmosphere that caracterized the discussion of 2014 programme, emphasizing readiness to put the programme into action in all fields in harmony and with the participation of different actors.


After receiving the government’s programme, the Council made some adjustments, focusing mostly on the part related to the social activities and the services provided to citizens.


This year’s programme outlines the major goals and priorities set forth by the Saharawi state in all areas of action which includes :


- Intesnify efforts so to address the challenges through developing the organizational structure.


- Energize mobilization as well as the capacity of the Saharawi People’s Liberation Army.


- Consecrate the manifestations of sovereignty over the liberated zones.


- Support the Intifada (uprising) of Independence.


- Make strong the external front.


- Pay more attention to the human individual in terms of framing and create incentives.


- Give special attention to national security and abort the enemy’s plans aimed at undermining the resistance of Saharawis people. (SPS)
