Chahid Al Hafed (refugee camps), June 16, 2014 (SPS) - President of the Republic and Secretary General of the Polisario Front Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz received Monday afternoon at Guests House in Chahid Al Hafed a Spanish parliamentary delegation, at the end of a three-day working visit to the Saharawi refugee camps.
During the meeting, President Mohamed Abdelaziz expressed thanks and gratitude of the people and government of SADR to the efforts being made by the Spanish parliamentarians in defending the right of the Saharawi people to self-determination and independence.
He also hailed the report of a Catalan parliamentary delegation, recently visited the occupied territories of Western Sahara.
The delegation is composed of Mr. Joan Nuet Pujals (for Plural Left, Chairman of the Delegation of the intergroup), Federico Buyolo (PSOE), Carles Campuzano (CiU), Isabel Sánchez Robles (PNV) and Gabriel Lopez (UpyD).
This visit aims to collect information and evidences about the situation of Sahrawi refugees and closely assess the work of Saharawi institutions. (SPS)
