Awserd (Refugee Camps), August 23, 2014 (SPS) – The Wilaya of Awserd is hosting the Second Congress of the Students Union of Saguia El Hamra and Rio de Oro (UESARIO) on August 23-25, according to the organizers.
More than 500 delegates and 200 representing students and youth organizations from countries around the world are invited to attend this event, as well as delegations from some Arab and African regional organizations.
Parallel to the Congress under the theme “Sahrawi students movement serves the national goals,” an international conference of solidarity with the Sahrawi students will be held with the contribution of the delegations participating in the Congress.
The Students Union of Saguia El Hamra and Rio de Oro (UESARIO) is a mass organization belonging to the Polisario Front, held its first conference in 1975, and in 1984 it was merged with the Youth Union of Saguia El Hamra and Rio Oro (UJSARIO), before becoming again an independent organization during the work of the 13th Congress of the Polisario Front, it should be recalled.
