Paris, September 13, 2014 (SPS) - The Western Sahara will be represented this weekend by two stalls at the World Village Festival of Humanity by the Association of Sahrawi Community in France and the Association of Sahrawis in France.
A discussion on the question of Western Sahara jointly organized by the Association of Sahrawis in France (ASF) and the Association of Sahrawi Community in France (ACSF), with the support of the Platform of Solidarity with the People of Western Sahara is scheduled for Sunday in the World village.
It will focus on the failure of the international community to end the occupation of Western Sahara by Morocco, the current political situation in Western Sahara, the role played by France and the European Union in maintaining the occupation, repression and violations of human rights in the occupied territories of Western Sahara.
Documentary films recounting testimony about gross violations of human rights perpetrated by the Moroccan forces against Sahrawi civilians in the occupied territories of Western Sahara, are on the menu of the discussion in addition to signs calling for the immediate release of the Saharawi political prisoners and the end of the Moroccan repression.
