Lisbon (Portugal), October 18, 2014 (SPS) - The Secretary General of the General Confederation of Portuguese Workers-National Inter Trade Union (CGTP-IN), Mr. Armenio Carlos, expressed support and solidarity with the struggle of the Saharawi people, during a meeting Friday with the Polisario Front representative in Lisbon, Ahmed Fal Mhamed.
Mr. Carlos said affirmed the intention of the organization to work nationally and internationally to ensure the respect of the right to self-determination of the Saharawi people in accordance with UN resolutions.
For his part, the Polisario Front representative thanked the CGTP-IN for its solidarity and support for many years to the just cause of the Saharawi people.
The General Confederation of Portuguese Workers-National Inter Trade Union (CGTP-IN), which is the largest Portuguese confederation trade union, has close relations of cooperation with the General Union of Seguia El Hamra y Rio de Oro (UGTSARIO), it should be recalled. (SPS)
