Council of Ministers condemns grave human rights violations perpetrated by Morocco against Sahrawi civilians

Shaheed Elhafed, November 1, 2014 (SPS) – The Council of Ministers has reiterated condemnation of the grave human rights violations perpetrated by the Moroccan occupation state against the defenseless Sahrawi civilians undera tight siege, in a statement issued following its meeting Saturday chaired by President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Mohamed Abdelaziz.  

 

The Council of Ministers warned against the practices of the Moroccan occupation state towards the Sahrawi political prisoners many of them suffer of disturbing health situations, demanding their release and revelation of the fate of all missing Sahrawis in Moroccan prisons.

 

The Council of Ministers renewed the appeal to the United Nations to accelerate the decolonization of Western Sahara and to enable the Saharawi people to their inalienable right of self-determination and independence, and to put all the necessary pressure and sanctions on the Moroccan occupation state to comply with the requirements of international legitimacy and to stop blocking UN efforts to find a democratic and fair solution through a referendum on self-determination.

 

 The meeting which reviewed the latest developments related to the national cause, focused on discussing and ratifying the document of the assessment of the annual program 2014-2015 of the government, which will be submitted to the National Council during its autumn session.

 

 

The Council of Ministers took the opportunity on this day, the first of November, to salute and congratulate the brotherly Algerian people and government, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the outbreak of their triumphant liberation revolution. (SPS)
