Conclusion of Congress of African Ministers for Youth, Culture and Sports

Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) November 3, 2014 (SPS) – The Congress of the African Ministers for Youth, Culture and Sports concluded its work Saturday in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, commenced Monday and devoted the first four days to the meeting of experts and preparation of the ministers' meeting, held Friday and Saturday.

 

The Congress constituted an opportunity for the Minister of Youth and Sports, Mohamed Moloud Mohamed Fadel, and Permanent Representative to the African Union and Ambassador to Ethiopia, Lamine Baali, to make contacts and hold meetings with the African Ministers, in the context of consolidating bilateral relations and discussing ways of cooperation and joint work on the development of youth initiatives at the bilateral level, in addition to introduction of activities and programs implemented by the Sahrawi state in this field.

 

The congress comes within the framework of the new orientation of the African Union to form specialized technical committees of a number of ministries, which operate in convergent fields or targeting the same social groups. (SPS)
