Moscow, November 10, 2014 (SPS) - Russian parliamentarian, member of the Committee of Constitutional Legislation of the Duma, Mr. Dmitry Gudkov, expressed support for the legitimate struggle of the Saharawi people for freedom and independence, during his reception to Polisario Front representative in Russia, Dr. Ali Salem Mohamed Fadel.
Mr. Gudkov denounced the Moroccan manipulation against international legitimacy, reiterating commitment to work to raise Russian public awareness about the illegal Moroccan occupation of Western Sahara and the need to put pressure on Morocco to comply with international legitimacy.
The Russian official also denounced the inertia of the international community towards the decolonization of Western Sahara, recalling that the colonial policies are alike and Morocco is no exception.
On this occasion, the Saharawi diplomat informed his interlocutor on the national resistance of the Saharawi people and exposed the serious violations of human rights committed by the Moroccan occupier against Saharawi civilians and illegal plundering of natural resources in occupied Western Sahara.
