Boujdour (refugee camps), Nov 18, 2014 (SPS) - Prime Minister, Abdelkader Taleb Omar, on Tuesday evening praised the role played by the Interfaith Dialogue for Peace, annually hosted by the Saharawi refugee camps, in defending the national cause at the level of international forums.

Concluding the Dialogue, the Minister expressed, on behalf of the Saharawi government, deep thanks and appreciation for the participants for bearing the burden of travel to be in the Saharawi refugee camps.

Hailing the Dialogue’s role in serving the noble values of peace, democracy and freedom, he underlined that such meeting makes deeper the Islamic values of tolerance, justice and equality, as well as renouncing violence, extremism and terrorism.

He, on other hand, seized the opportunity to applaud Algeria’s strong position of support to just causes in the world, including that of the Saharawi people.

The Minister also appreciated the work done by Ms. Janet Lenz, Executive Director at Not Forgotten International, and the U.S. delegation of priests and researchers to serve the noble goals in the respect for human and people’s rights.

“They are conveying good, civilized and fair images about the struggle of the Saharawi people, which did refute Moroccan regime’s attempts to link our struggle with terrorism and extremism,” indicated Prime Minister, in his closing speech to the 9th Interfaith Dialogue for Peace. (SPS)
