Granada (Spain), Nov 20, 2014 (SPS) - Granada University’s Faculty of Social Sciences hosts in the period from 18 to 20 November 2014 an awareness seminar on Western Sahara under the title “woman and human rights”.
Organized by the Association of Friends of the Saharawi people in Granada, the seminar focuses on the struggle waged by Saharawi women and the violations of human rights, being committed by Morocco in occupied Western Sahara.
The seminar is attended by Dean of the Faculty, Àngel Rodríguez Monge, and from the Saharawi party by Polisario Front’s Delegate, Abidin Buchraya, Women’s Representative in Spain, Khadija Mojtar.
It is noteworthy that the University of Granada will later grant a group of its students a trip to the Saharawi refugee camps, so they get to know at firsthand the reality of Saharawi people. (SPS)
