Harare (Zimbabwe), May 9, 2015 (SPS) – Ambassador of South Africa to Zimbabwe Mr. Vusi Mavimbela has stressed that the struggle for self determination is not over in Africa as long as right of the Saharawi people to self determination and freedom has not been fulfilled, in speech Friday in Harare, Zimbabwe, on the occasion of South Africa Freedom Day.
"Of course as we all know, the struggle for the right to self determination is not necessarily over in the African continent as long as we continue to have on the agenda of the African Union and the United Nations the unfulfilled right of the Saharawi people in Western Sahara to self determination and freedom", said Mr. Vusi Mavimbela.
"I want to say that the struggle for self determination that W.E.B Du Bois and his colleagues called for in Africa one hundred and fifteen years ago has largely been achieved except for the Saharawi people in Western Sahara, whose struggle must continue ", he added. (SPS)
