Abuja (Nigeria) July 25, 2015 (SPS) - The Embassy of the Sahrawi Republic (SADR) in Nigeria took part Friday in a large African cultural evening hosted by Abuja Hilton, alongside embassies representing more than 40 African countries, to celebrate the 52nd anniversary of Africa Day and the Nelson Mandela International Day.
The evening celebration which received wide media coverage was attended by more than 800 invitees from the diplomatic corps accredited in Abuja, representatives of the Nigerian government and parties, prestigious personalities from art and media.
The SADR location at the celebration hall attracted many guests who were able to get acquainted with the struggle of the Saharawi people for liberation and independence through the explanations provided, leaflets and some documentaries distributed to the guests, in addition to other aspects of the cultural identity through enjoying some Sahrawi traditional dishes and tea.
