Shaheed Hafed (Refugee Camps), 1 Sep. 2015 (SPS) - A delegation consisting of members of Mauritanian-Sahrawi Solidarity Parliamentary Group arrived Monday in the Saharawi refugee camps.
The delegation which includes members of various Mauritanian political parties, is headed by the Chairman of the Foreign and Defense Committee at the National Assembly of Mauritania, Mr. Habib Ould Adah, who is accompanied by the Secretary General of the Group Mr. Mohamed Fal Ould Isa, and the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Mauritanian National Assembly, Mr. Mohamed Abu Al-Ma'ali.
The Wilaya of Smara was the first station visited by the delegation, where it was received by Mr. Salem Lebsir, in charge of Political Branches of the Polisario Front, accompanied by the Governor of the Wilaya, Adda Brahim, the local authorities, and the citizens of the wilaya, who warmly welcome this initiative which is part of the existing relations of solidarity and brotherhood among the peoples of Mauritania and Western Sahara.
It is expected that the members of the delegation will hold a meeting this afternoon with the members of the Saharawi National Council (Parliament), at the headquarters of this institution, at 9 June School. (SPS)
