Dar es Salam, 31 Oct 2015 (SPS) – President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Mohamed Abdelaziz, congratulated Friday H.E. Dr. John Pombe Magufuli on his election as the president of the United Republic of Tanzania, in a letter a copy of it received by SPS.
“On behalf of the Sahrawi people and the government of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic I would like to convey to your Excellency my warmest congratulations on your election as the president of the United Republic of Tanzania as well as my sincere wishes for every success in discharging your new mission,” said the president of the republic in his congratulatory letter.
“We are confident that the United Republic of Tanzania will continue its steady march under your wise leadership towards the attainment of more development, progress and prosperity.”
“I take this opportunity to reiterate our profound gratitude for the support and solidarity that Tanzania, under the leadership of Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM), has constantly granted to our people in their legitimate struggle for freedom and self-determination.”
“I would like also to express to your Excellency our strong resolve to further strengthen and consolidate the bonds of solidarity, friendship and cooperation already existing between our two peoples and nations,” added the president of the republic. (SPS)
