Prime Minister holds talks in Addis Ababa with several African leaders

Addis Ababa, February 1, 2016 (SPS) The Prime Minister, Abdul Khader Taleb Oumar, met in Addis Ababa, on the sidelines of the 26th summit of the African Union, with several African heads of state and government.

 

They were the presidents of Nigeria, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Namibia and the heads of delegations of Algeria, Angola, Mozambique, Mauritius and Tanzania, in addition to other participating delegations from different continents.

 

The meetings allowed the Prime Minister to inform African leaders on the latest developments of the question of Western Sahara at the international level, the suffering of the Saharawi people since the Moroccan military invasion, gross violations of human rights committed by Moroccan forces of repression and the illegal plundering of natural resources, in contradiction to the resolutions of international legitimacy.

 

The Heads of State and Governments of the African Union reiterated on this occasion their support and solidarity with the struggle of the Saharawi people to recover their legitimate rights to self-determination and independence. (SPS)
