The São Paulo Forum's resolution noted the recognition by all international organizations of the Sahrawi people's right to self-determination and independence, including the International Court of Justice, the European Court of Justice, the African Court of Human and Peoples' Rights, and the Non-Aligned Movement.

In the same context, the Forum reaffirmed its support for a fair and transparent referendum that guarantees the Sahrawi people's right to self-determination and independence, calling on the participants to enhance mobilization in their governments and parties in order to put pressure on the Security Council to accelerate the implementation of its resolutions related to Western Sahara.

The Forum's resolution also called for expanding MINURSO's mandate to include monitoring, protecting, and reporting on human rights in Western Sahara, as well as prohibiting the plunder of Sahrawi natural resources.
