Melbourne, 29 January 2023 (SPS) - The representative of the Polisario Front in Australia, Mohamed Fadel Kamal, said that the Sahrawi and Palestinian peoples are subjected to the most heinous forms of injustice and tyranny.
This came during the participation of Mohamed Fadel Kamal in a confernce organized by the Palestine Solidarity Network in Australia, between 27 and 29 January in Melbourne.
The Sahrawi diplomat held a workshop dedicated to the Sahrawi issue, during which he touched on the similarities between the Sahrawi and Palestinian issues, and how both Sahrawis and Palestinians can cooperate to help each other in their struggle to obtain their legitimate rights and regain the freedom that was taken away from them by the Moroccan occupation state and the Zionist entity respectively.
The Sahrawi representative gave a presentation on the close cooperation that characterized the Moroccan regime's relations with the Zionist entity in secret and in public over the past six decades, which included military and intelligence aspects, in addition to their cooperation in carrying out political assassinations.
As for the similarities between the two issues, the representative of the Polisario Front touched on the occupation and settlement suffered by the Sahrawi and Palestinian peoples despite their right to self-determination and full independence.
Mohamed Fadel Kamal pointed out that the Sahrawi and Palestinian peoples are subjected to "the worst forms of injustice and tyranny" and that "the construction of separation walls and the encouragement of settlements are simple examples of what the two occupying countries are pursuing to consolidate their illegal occupation", noting that the Sahrawi and Palestinian peoples have shown their determination and defiance of the occupation through the adoption of methods of intifada, armed struggle and peaceful resistance.
The workshop included lengthy discussions in which the attendees participated, which confirmed the public's support for the two just causes.
It should be noted that the Committee of Solidarity with the Saharawi People in Australia held an exhibition on the sidelines of the symposium, which included books, publications and clothes to publicize the Sahrawi cause.
