Shahid El Hafed, 28 March 2022 (SPS) - A delegation of the European Parliament starts on Tuesday a visit to the Sahrawi Republic, during which it will find out about the situation of Sahrawi refugees and learn about the experience of institutions of the Sahrawi state.
The delegation, led by former Austrian minister and member of the Socialist Party Anders Schieder, will have a popular welcome upon arrival in the wilaya of Boujdour.
It will hold meetings with representatives of civil society, including the Union of Sahrawi Women, the Sahrawi Commission for Human Rights, and the Association of Families of Sahrawi Prisoners and Disappeared.
The delegation will visit the headquarters of the Sahrawi National Council (Parliament), where it will meet with the President and members of the Sahrawi legislative body.
The delegation will hold a press conference at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Shahid El Hafed, before it will be received by the President of the Republic, Brahim Ghali, at the end of its visit to the Saharawi Republic. (SPS)
