Algier, Sept 22, 2016 (SPS) - The Minister of State and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mr. Ramtane Lamamra and Chair of the African Union Commission, Ms. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma stressed on Tuesday in New York, the need to accelerate the decolonization of Western Sahara, according to a statement by the Algerian Foreign Ministry.
The discussions between both parties, which comes on the sidelines of the UNGA 71 session, focused on Sahrawi issue, reviewing the latest developments in Western Sahara and the efforts to complete the process of the decolonization of the last African colony, insisting for the need to strengthen the role and work of AU at the UN level, the statement added.
