Bir Lehlu, Oct 19, 2021 (SPS) - The President of the Republic , Secretary General of the Frente POLISARIO, Mr. Brahim Gali, denounced the silence of the United Nations regarding the Moroccan violation of the ceasefire In a letter sent to the UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres.
Gali said, after UNSG presented his report, that “Polisario strongly condemns the complicit silence of the United Nations General Secretariat and its unjustified reluctance to call things by their name and identify the Moroccan occupying State as the direct and sole responsible for the violation of the ceasefire, which had lasted almost thirty years as an integral part of the Joint Settlement Plan between the United Nations and the Organization of Unity Africana (current AU) accepted by the two parties, the Frente POLISARIO and Morocco, in August 1988 and ratified by the Security Council through its resolutions 658 (1990) and 690 (1991), respectively ”.SPS
