PAP rotating president meets with Norwegian ambassadors

Midrand (South Africa), Oct 19, 2013 (SPS) - The Second Vice-President of the Pan-African Parliament (PAP) Ms. Sueilma Beiruk, also the rotating president of PAP, has meet with the Norwegian ambassadors accredited to South Africa, Ethiopia and the African Union.


These talks focused on PAP’s mechanisms of action and functions, in addition to the challenges faced by the rest of the AU institutions.


She also spoke about the continental problems that impede the path of development and Africa’s integration, including poverty and AIDS, as well as the efforts being made to complete the decolonization and to promote human rights, good governance, maternal health and child mortality.


She, on other hand, focused on the latest developments on the Saharawi cause, and the prominent role Saharawi woman play within her society.


She expressed Saharawis’ determination to grab their legitimate right to freedom and self-determination, in accordance with the principles and purposes of international legitimacy. (SPS)
