Havana, July 16, 2017 (SPS) – President of the National Council, Khatri Addouh, received on Saturday by his Cuban counterpart Esteban Lazo Hernández, accompanied by the leadership of the Cuban Parliament and members of the Cuban Parliamentary Committee for Solidarity with the Sahrawi Republic.
The Cuban parliament had unanimously approved, on Friday, the establishment of a Cuban parliamentary committee to defend the right of the Sahrawi people to self-determination and independence and to promote bilateral relations between the Saharawi and Cuban peoples.
On this occasion, the President of the Cuban Parliament reiterated the firm position of Cuba in support of the legitimate Sahrawi cause.
For his part, Khatri Addouh stressed the historical relations between the Sahrawi and Cuban peoples, praising the Cuban support to the Sahrawi people in social fields such as health, education and others. (SPS)
