Bergen (Norway), Dec 5, 2011 (SPS) - The book “A Norwegian Hope Journey -Between the Strong Sand and the White Snow Lives My Hope for a Free Western Sahara” was launched on Thursday in Bergen, Norway, by the young Saharawi journalist Asria Mohammed Taleb, in the presence of the Chairwoman of Bergan’s Branch of Youth Labor Party.

The 40-pages book sheds light on the difficult conditions which the Saharawi refugees have lived since more than three decades, far away from eyes of the world and in complete disregard by big powers.

The writer presents to the readers fragments of her personal experience as a refugee and young Saharawi, who lived the occupation of her country without ever see it.

The book contains nine chapters or stories: a Norwegian hope journey, my first impression from Norway, the fire, under the Bergen rain, Sultana eye of victory, Rafto sweet home, the Wall of Shame, Tusen Takk...Norge and about the author.

The book, which is published in English, was printed by the United Nations Association of Norway, Western Branch. The author dedicated her book to victims of the terrorist acts which happened this year against a group of young Norwegian, as an expression of solidarity of the Saharawi people with the victims and their families.

The young journalist Asria Mohammed Taleb gave a copy of the book to Ms. Christine Lin, who expressed thank and recognition of the Youth Labor Party to this solidarity step, confirming its Organization’s intention to support the Saharawi people struggle and to continue pressurize the government of Norway to show solidarity with the Saharawi just cause.

The Saharawi writer declared her intention to sell copies of the book and allocating its revenues to support the Saharawi victims of war and mines at Martyr Chrayaf Center, loyalty to those who gave their souls and safety for the cause of their country.

The book is an individual and self-made initiative by young writer. It is also considered an evidence of the possibility to use the youth’s energies in publicizing the Saharawi cause in various parts of the world. (SPS)
