Wilaya of Dakhla (Refugee Camps), 15 January 2023 (SPS) - Algerian parties, participating in the 16th Congress of the Polisario Front, reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the just struggle of the Sahrawi people until its independence.
During the first day of the Congress, the Secretary-General of the National Liberation Front (FLN), Mr. Abou El Fadl Baaji, stressed that the party stands by peoples suffering of colonialism, and that his attendance at the Congress is reaffirmation of support for the Sahrawi people in its struggle.
Mr. Baaji pointed out that neutrality is unacceptable with regard to the Sahrawi issue, and that the freedom of Africa will not be complete without the freedom of the Sahrawi people.
The Secretary-General of the National Liberation Front (FLN) denounced Spain's position on the Sahrawi issue, stressing that it is neither morally nor historically acceptable.
He reiterated that the position of Algeria and the FLN is firm and will not change towards the just struggle of the Sahrawi people, denouncing international inaction in the face of Moroccan intransigence.

Abdelkader Bengrina, President of the National Construction Movement, reiterated Algeria's support for the Sahrawi people until its independence is achieved.
Mr. Bengrina indicated that the party is keen on preserving the trust of the martyrs and defending their principles in supporting liberation movements.

For his part, the representative of the National Democratic Rally, Mr. Mohand Barquq, stressed that the party is determined to continue the struggle until the completion of the sovereignty of the Sahrawi people on its territory, praising the spirit of Sahrawi national unity and insistence on struggle until achieving its independence.
