Nigerian Movement Constitutional Congress for the Liberation of Western Sahara expresses solidarity with Sahrawi political prisoners

Abuja(Nigeria), March 15, 2016 (SPS) -The Constitutional Congress of the Nigerian Movement for the Liberation of Western Sahara expressed "its solidarity with the Saharawi political prisoners Gdeim Izik Group that are in an open hunger strike hence the first of March".
 
 
 
In a statement released at the conclusion of its congress, the Nigerian movement "called on the United Nations Mission for the Referendum in Western Sahara (MINURSO) to assume its legal and ethical responsibilities to protect Saharawi civilians in Occupied Territories of Western Sahara who suffer daily repression of the Moroccan forces of occupation."
 
 
The Movement also called on African countries to mobilize to accelerate the decolonization of the continent through the liberation of Western Sahara, expressing its determination to profound its links with African solidarity movements with the Saharawi people to create a platform which will be able to pressure states and African governments to join the support of the struggle of the Saharawi people more effectively.
