Shaheed Al Hafeed, 2 january 2023 (SPS) - The National Secretariat of the Polisario Front has reaffirmed its rejection of any approach aimed at confiscating the right of the Sahrawi people to self-determination and independence.
In a statement capping the work of its final 8th ordinary session, the National Secretariat reiterated its firm position in rejecting any effort or approach aimed at confiscating the inalienable and non-negotiable right of the Sahrawi people to self-determination and national independence.
In this regard, the National Secretariat stressed the firm adherence of the Sahrawi people to their right to defend themselves and their sovereignty over its land and natural wealth by all legitimate means, including armed struggle.
The statement called on the African Union to bring an end to the blatant aggression and occupation of the territory of a member state of the continental organization, which is the Sahrawi Republic, by another member state, which is the Kingdom of Morocco, and to take the necessary and urgent measures against the latter, in order to comply with the principles and objectives of the Constitutive Act of the African Union, especially respecting the borders inherited after independence, and preventing the annexation of land by force.
