Feb. 27 School (Refugees Camps) April23,2011(SPS )- The participants at the 6th congress of the National Union of Saharawi Women (UNFS) called on Friday to give MINURSO a mechanism of human rights protection in that territory.

Saharawi and foreign participants, coming from several countries including South Africa, Venezuela, Cuba and Mauritania, have denounced the deteriorating situation of human rights in this region and the "despicable" crimes perpetrated by the Moroccan occupation against the Saharawi people defenseless.

In this regard, they called on international organizations to break the wall of shame, erected by Morocco in the 1980s and divides Western Sahara in two parts on over 2,000 km.

At the meeting entitled "epic of Gdim Izikcamp" and organized under the slogan "promotion of Saharawi women for liberation and the preservation of achievements, " the foreign participants and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) expressed their solidarity with the Saharawi people and with the Sahrawi woman in particular in her constant struggle for freedom.
