Tifariti (liberated territories), Dec 26, 2011 (SPS) - The election committee has announced on Thursday evening the final results of elections of members of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front, during the closing session of the Thirteenth Congress held, Dec 15-22, in the liberated territory of Tifariti.
After it provided an explanation on its work, the Committee indicated that the votes casted in the second round are 1778 out of 2095 delegates participating at the Congress, votes obtained are 1681, white papers 23, while the rejected ballots were estimated at 73 votes, highlighting that the process went a in good conditions during the first and second rounds without any problems.
The Committee revealed a list of the names of the winners of the 27 seats in the second round, recalling to the winners in the first round namely Mr. Hamma Salama and Mr. Mhamed Khadad.

It should be recalled that the National Secretariat of the Frente Polisario contains 50 members including 29 members elected in the Congress, 4 elected by the four mass organizations and 16 seats for the occupied territories in addition to the Secretary General. (SPS)
