Robbed of Truth: documentary debunks Moroccan propaganda on the existence of slavery in Saharawi refugee camps

Melbourne (Australia), Dec 26, 2011 (SPS) - The American filmmaker, Carlos Gonzalez, has launched last week a new documentary, which debunks the claims in Stolen of the existence of slavery cases in the Saharawi refugee camps and exposes the fabrications that based on a propaganda funded by Moroccan intelligence.

The American filmmaker screened his documentary for the first time at the Institute Victorian University of Arts in the Australian city of Melbourne, because the two Australian filmmakers, Dan Fallshaw and Violeta Ayala, had screened their controversial film despite the fact that it lack the credibility and professionalism in several Australian regions, before they got support from the Moroccan intelligence to display it at different festivals in Europe.

The documentary offered to the public the investigation in following the exact path taken by Stolen’s filmmakers, where they claimed that the Polisario Front practices the slavery in the Saharawi refugee camps.

Following its screening, funs at the Victorian University of Arts expressed “admiration” for the neutral way followed by U.S. filmmaker and his success to shed light on the problem and Moroccan propaganda without bias to any party.

Ms Carmela Baranowska, Laureate of awards in documentary filmmaking, commended “Robbed of Truth” during the debate opened after its screening. (SPS)
