Works of the 37th EUCOCO Conference continue in workshops

Seville (Spain), Feb 5, 2012 (SPS) - Five workshops installed Saturday on the second day of the 37th European 37th European Coordination Conference of Support to the Sahrawi Saharawi People (EUCOCO), which resumed Saturday in Seville, Andalusia.

The first workshop was allocated to the political issues, where it will consider, according to organizers, on topics related to communication and the twin cities, while the second workshop is expected to consider issues relating to the peaceful resistance in the Saharawi occupied cities, respect for human rights and the plundering of natural resources of Western Sahara by Morocco.

The recent decision of the European Parliament refusing to extend the fishing agreement with Morocco, given its illegal nature, will be center stage, the source said.
The other three workshops will focus on issues related to cooperation in the fields of health, humanitarian action, solidarity, social movements, culture, education, training and heritage.

The work of the 37th EUCOCO which began Friday in Seville is expected to conclude today with the adoption of the final declaration of the conference and recommendations of the five workshops. (SPS)
