Bir Lehlou (Liberated Territories), February 07, 2012 (SPS)- The President of the Republic and Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz, has congratulated the Prime Minister of Grenada, Mr. Tillman Thomas, on the occasion of the 38th Anniversary of Independence of his country.
"On the auspicious occasion of the 38th Anniversary of Independence of Grenada, I wish, on behalf of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, its Government and on my own name, to express my congratulations to you and through you to the Government and people of Grenada", wrote President Mohamed Abdelaziz in letter sent Monday to Mr .Tillman Thomas.
President of the Republic expressed confidence that the "traditional friendship and valuable relations between the two Peoples and Countries will definitely be further strengthened and developed in the future."
"Please accept, Excellency, the renewed assurances of my highest consideration and good wishes for your personal health and wellbeing as well as for the progress and prosperity of the friendly people of Grenada", the President concluded.
Today, Grenada is marking the 38th anniversary of its independence from the United Kingdom, which was achieved on February 7, 1974. (SPS)
