Ghana reiterates its support to just struggle of Saharawi people

Accra, Feb. 29, 2012 (SPS) The leader of the parliamentary majority in Ghana, Cletus A. Avoka reiterated Wednesday his country's support to the struggle of the Saharawi people, after a meeting at the Parliament of Ghana with the Ambassador of the Saharawi Republic in Accra, Mahjoub Sidina.
 

"Traditionally, Ghana has always been at the side of peoples fighting for a just cause and in this case the Saharawi people is no exception," said the member of the ruling National Democratic Congress, Avoka.
 

For his part, Ambassador Mahjoub Sidina informed his interlocutor about the latest developments of the Western Sahara conflict, the negotiation process under the auspices of the United Nations, the situation of human rights in the occupied territories of Western Sahara. (SPS)
