Accra, June 10, 2012 (SPS) - First Deputy Speaker of the Ghanaian Parliament, Dr. Doi Adjoa, has reaffirmed his country’s support to the right of the Saharawi people for self-determination and independence, in a meeting with the Saharawi Ambassador to Accra Mr. Mahjub Sidana, informed a source of SADR Embassy.

During the meeting, which took place at headquarters of the Ghanaian Parliament, the Saharawi Diplomat informed his interlocutor about the latest developments concerning the Saharawi cause as well as the gross violations of human rights committed by Moroccan authorities against the defenseless Saharawi citizens in the occupied territories of Western Sahara.

He also considered Morocco’s late decision to withdraw confidence from the UN Secretary General’s Personal Envoy for Western Sahara, Mr. Christopher Ross, “unjust and arbitrary”. (SPS)
