President of Republic concludes official visit to Tanzania

Dar es Salaam, June 26, 2012 (SPS) – the president of the Republic and Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Mohamed Abdelaziz, Monday, concluded a two-day official visit to the United Republic of Tanzania at invitation of the President of Tanzania, Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete.

 The president was seen off At the Mwalimu Julius Nyerere International Airport, by his host, President Kikwete, Honourable Ministers and other senior Government officials of the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania.

The visit was an opportunity to the president to hold official talks with the Tanzanian President and to discuss bilateral issues, the current peace process in Western Sahara; regional issues as well as other issues of mutual interests to their two countries.

The official visit to Tanzanian concluded by a joint communiqué where the two presidents expressed their satisfaction to the success of the visit and to the brotherly and historical bilateral relations that so happily exist between the Governments and Peoples of the United Republic of Tanzania and the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic.

They two presidents underscored “the need to further strengthen the existing relations between their two countries by exploring possible areas of cooperation that would be of mutual benefit to the peoples of the two countries.”

It should be recalled that President Mohamed Abdelaziz was accompanied by Honourable Ministers and other senior officials of the Government and leadership of the Polisario Front.(SPS)
