Shaheed Al hafed (refugee camps), August 18, 2012 (SPS) - The Saharawi people, like the rest of Islamic peoples and countries, will celebrate tomorrow, Sunday 18 August 2012 corresponding to the first Shawal 1433 H, blessed Eid al-Fitr, quoted a statement by the Ministry of Justice and Religious Affairs issued Saturday.

The prayer of Eid al-Fitr will be performed in all mosques of the Wilayas in refugee camps and liberated territories of Western Sahara, according to the source.

On this occasion, the Ministry of Justice and Religious Affairs extends congratulations to the Saharawi people and Islamic nation as a whole, appealing to Allah Almighty to bring back Eid with good and blessing.

It worthwhile that most Arab countries including Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Palestine, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Libya and Yemen declared tomorrow Sunday as the first day of Eid al-Fitr, after Shawal’s moon crescent was not sighted Friday, the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessing be upon him) says “fast according to its (the new moon’s) sighting and break your fast according to its sighting. If it is hidden from you by clouds, then consider it (the month) as 30 days” (Muslim no. 1080). (SPS)
