Ambassador Ali Mahmud received by Dean of Chiriquì University

Panama, Sept 16, 2012 (SPS) - The Saharawi Ambassador in Panama Mr. Ali Mahmud has received by the Dean of Panama’s Chiriquì University, Don. Héctor Requena Núñez, during a visit made by the Saharawi Ambassador to the University, informed a source from the Embassy in panama.


The meeting focused on the bilateral relations especially regarding training and study of students.


The Ambassador Ali Mahmud emphasized to his interlocutor on the importance to continue providing scholarships for the Saharawi students, in the framework of consolidating the bilateral relation between the two countries under an agreement approved by the Saharawi Ministry of Education and authorities of Panama.


The Saharawi Ambassador also met with staff of Chiriquì University including the deans of medicine and nursing faculties.


It should be recalled that 4 Saharawi students are currently studying medicine in Panama, first Latin American country to recognize SADR and host Saharawi students in its universities. (SPS)
