Namibian President calls for enabling the Saharawi people of their right to self determination and independence

New York, Spt 26, 2012 (SPS) - The President of Namibia has expressed on Tuesday  his country’s concern the Saharawi people had been denied their inalienable right to self-determination and independence.

 

Speaking before the 67th Session of the UN General Assembly, President of Namibia, Hifikepunye Pohamba said for many decades, the people of Western Sahara had been denied their inalienable right to self-determination and independence.”

 

“Namibia reiterated its call for the immediate and unconditional implementation of the United Nations Settlement Plan leading to the holding of a free and fair referendum “,   adds President  Pohamba. (SPS)
