Chahid Al Hafed (refugee camps), Sept 30, 2012 (SPS) - The President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz, received Saturday a French delegation led by the Mayor of Tomblaine Mr. Mr Hervé Feron, at the end of a working visit to the Saharawi refugee camps.
The meeting focused on the latest developments concerning Western Sahara question and France’s position on human rights and self-determination of the Saharawi people.
The delegation made an exploratory visit to the Saharawi refugees to closely see their harsh living conditions, and held several meetings with members of National Secretariat and Government.
In this regard, he met with the Prime Minister Mr. Abdelkader Taleb Omar, and visited the Wilayas of Smara and Boujdour as well as National Resistance Museum.
In a meeting at the Parliament headquarters, the Saharawi MP Ms. Mbarka Boumakhrota called for the need to form Saharawi-French parliamentary solidarity to aware about the Saharawi cause within the civil society of France, adding that this might put pressure on the French government to change its position on Western Sahara issue.
