It is time to put an end to Morocco’s disregard of international law, says the President

Bir Lehlu (Occupied Territories), Nov 06, 2012 (SPS) - President of the Republic and Secretary General of the Front Polisario Mohamed Abdelaziz has asserted that it is time to put an end of the Morocco's disregard of the international law and United Nations.

 

In a letter sent on Sunday to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, President of the Republic revealed that 90 Saharawi civilians were attacked as well as home raided in Saharawi occupied territories particularly Al Aiun, Smara and Dakhla.

 

“Reports by several human rights organizations as RFK Center and the Moroccan Association of Human Rights (AMDH) have made clear the Moroccan authorities of occupation launch a campaign of repression against Saharawi defenseless civilians “, said President adding that this wave of repression coincides with visit to the region by The UN Secretary General’s Personal Envoy for Western Sahara, Mr. Christopher Ross,

President Mohamed Abdelaziz pointed out to the horrible practices committed by Moroccan occupying  forces against the Saharawis, underlining that "it is blind revenge and sustained attempt to humiliate the Saharawis and prevent them from protesting peacefully"

 

he renewed urgent call for the United Nations to protect the Saharawi defenseless civilians from the repression of the Moroccan occupying forces and intervene to prevent further human rights violations in occupied Western sahara. (SPS)
