Kerry Kennedy expresses solidarity with Saharawi people

Mallorca (Balearic Islands, Spain), July 22, 2013 (SPS) - The President of the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights Ms. Kerry Kennedy has reiterated solidarity with the Saharawi people, during an event organized on her honor by the POLISARIO Representation and the Association of solidarity with the Saharawi people in the Islands.


During her visit to Mallorca, Kerry Kennedy called a meeting with the Saharawi children, who are spending their summer holidays with Spanish families in the framework of the Holidays in Peace Programme, informed the Polisario representation in the Balearic Islands.


During her meeting with the Saharawi children, Ms. Kennedy delivered a speech in which she expressed his solidarity with the just cause of the Saharawi people, condemning the grave violations of human rights committed by Moroccan occupation in the occupied territories of Western Sahara, said the source.


POLISARIO Representative Mr. Mohamed Mustafa Teleimidi and the President of the Association of Friends of the Saharawi Peoplein Balearic Islands Mrs. Catalina Rosselló also took the floor to welcome Ms. Kerry Kennedy.


During the ceremony, Saharawi minors offered the president of the RFK Center for Justice and Human Rights a bouquet of flowers and a Melhfa (traditional dress of Saharawi women).
