Chahid Al Hafed (refugee camps), Oct 19, 2013 (SPS) - President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Frente Polisario Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz has reiterated POLISARIO’s willingness to cooperate with UN efforts and endeavours aiming at reaching a just and lasting settlement to Western Sahara conflict, ensures the right of Saharawi people to self-determination, during a meeting on Thursday evening with Mr. Christopher Ross, the UN Secretary-General’s Personal Envoy for Western Sahara.
Saharawi President held, during this meeting also attended by the UN Secretary General’s Special Envoy for Western Sahara and Head of MINURSO Mr. Wolfgang Weisbrod-Weber, Moroccan regime responsible for the obstruction, calling on the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to exert more pressure on Moroccan regime to comply with the will of peace and international legitimacy.
It should be recalled that the UN Envoy completed Thursday night a visit led him to the Saharawi refugee camps.
During his visit, Ross held talks with several Polisario Front and Saharawi government’s officials.
He, therefore, met with Saharawi civil society organizations and representatives of international humanitarian organizations working in the camps. (SPS)
