Algiers, November 10, 2013 (SPS) - Algeria’s positions over Western Sahara issue are "consistent" and "firm," Foreign Minister Ramtane Lamamra said Sunday in Algiers.
"The positions of Algeria are consistent and firm. We clearly make distinction between Western Sahara question, which is a decolonization issue that is addressed by the United Nations, and our bilateral relations (with Morocco)," Lamamra told a news conference jointly held with Minister of Communication Abdelkader Messahel.
In bilateral (Algerian-Moroccan) relations, "there are agreements and rules of procedure -be they written or implicit, part of the law or of our common history- which should not be infringed," he added.
The breach of such agreements and rules, according to the Algerian Foreign Minister, shows the transgressor’s "failure." (SPS)
