Peaceful march in occupied city of El Aaiun

El Aaiun (occupied territories), Nov 18, 2013 (SPS) - A peaceful march was organized Sunday evening in the occupied city of El Aaiun, capital of Western Sahara, by Gdeim Izik Coordination to denounce the pillaging of the Saharawi natural resources and call for the independence of Western Sahara, said a source of the Ministry of Occupied Territories and Diaspora.


This peaceful march started from Skeikima Street in El Aaiun and ended at Lahouham Mosque, said the source.



During this march, the Saharawi demonstrators denounced the "systematic" looting of Saharawi resources by Moroccan occupying authorities, asking the two companies Siemens and Total to stop their trade activities in the occupied Western Sahara.


They also called on the European Union (EU) not to renew the fesheries agreement with Moroccan Kingdom, which includes Western Sahara shores.


According to the same source, Moroccan occupying forces, in various apparatus, intervened against the Saharawi demonstrators. (SPS)
