Ceremony to deliver mortal remains of Lekouiaa mass grave

AMHIRIZ (Liberated Territories) November 22, 2013 (SPS )  - A ceremony to deliver mortal remains of the mass grave recently discovered at Fedret Lekouiaa, in the Amhiriz freed region of Western Sahara, was held Thursday by the Sahrawi authorities in the presence of relatives of the deceased persons, representatives of MINURSO and international personalities.

 

The working group has contributed to the identification of human remains by DNA tests at the laboratories of Basque Country University, attended the ceremony held at the crime scene.

 

The search for the remains of dozens of Sahrawi buried in graves throughout the region, particularly in the occupied territories and southern Morocco, continues.  

 

The fate of more than 500 missing persons and 151 prisoners of war remains unknown, it should be recalled. (SPS)
